The holidays are supposed to make everyone happy and carefree. Often they seem to have the opposite effect on us though. All the extra stress usually causes us to feel overwhelmed and happiness seems miles away. Here are some personal favorites of my original quotes and also a few from famous authors that I am hoping will lift your spirits this holiday season.
If you don’t pick yourself up every time you fall, how do ever expect to get where you want to go? ~ Debbie
Be more passionate about life. Be emotional if that is what you like. Just don’t forget to live while you are here. Enjoy every minute you are given, for you are never promised more. ~Debbie
Just because your life isn’t everything you thought it would become, doesn’t mean you haven’t gone far and overcome a lot. ~ Debbie
The greatness of a man is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and his ability to affect those around him positively. ~ Bob Marley
Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough ~ Oprah Winfrey
People who fail focus on what they will have to go through; people who succeed focus on what it will feel like at the end. ~ Anthony Robbins
Wishing you a wonderful and blessed holiday season.

These are great, Debbie! I loved this one, “Just because your life isn’t everything you thought it would become, doesn’t mean you haven’t gone far and overcome a lot.”
You’re absolutely right! Many times we spend effortless amounts of our time contemplating who we could’ve been or who we believe we should be right now. When we should place such energies in being grateful for all we’ve survived in this life thus far.
Right now is all we have really. It would serve us greatly to live in that moment.
Thanks for all the sharpening quotes, Debbie! Blessings.
Thank you for that Deone. I agree. Sometimes it is hard to see where we’ve been and how far we’ve come but focusing on anything else but positive never gets much done.
Cheers! ~ Deb
These all apply to my daily life — thank you for a lovely list of reminders to live life to the fullest & be appreciative for what I have!
